4.  Organizational set up

5.  Memberships and working relation with other organisations:
1.  HUMAN is the member organization of International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU), London, an umbrella organization of humanists worldwide.
2.  HUMAN has been working closely with the Institute for Humanist Studies (IHS) which has provided grants for action research and studies
3.  HUMAN is the affiliate organization for Nepal, of EARTHWARD (Earth's Atheist Resistance To Holy Wars And Religious Devastation.
4.  HUMAN is the affiliate member of Center for Free Inquiry (CFI) and Council for Secular Humanism, USA

6.  Training / advocacy / lobbying
HUMAN has conducted a number of training, advocacy and lobbying activities at both national and international level.

IHEU submitted HUMAN's report to the High Commission of the United Nations regarding the violation of fundamental rights of the Nepalese women.

HUMAN has issued a number of appeal statements and submitted action reports on the atrocities committed against women to the prime minister, speaker, parliamentarians and other concerned public agencies in Nepal.

7.  Press communiqué
HUMAN has issued dozen of press statements on the issues of international significance such as the heinous crime committed against humanity on 11th September in USA, protest letter to the various governmental agencies of Nepal and Pakistan regarding Dr. Saikh’s so called blasphemy case in Pakistan. 

8.  Development of deprived and marginalized community
1.  A project was carried out for the upliftment of socially deprived and marginalized Satar community in Jhapa district of eastern Nepal

9.  Humanist Education campaign
1.  HUMAN has carried out a number of humanist educational campaigns for school students and teachers in a number of schools, with IHEU’s support

10.  Empowerment of women through humanist education
1.  Humanist association of Nepal has implemented a project on empowerment of women through humanist education with the support of Institute for Humanist Studies (IHS) USA.
2.  A number of training and educational activities have been conducted in a  number of districts of Nepal to empower women
3.  A nine member women committee has been established in Chitwan district
4.  A women’s wing of HUMAN is formed at the central level to coordinate and develop activities pertaining to women’s development.
5.  Several press conferences and talk programs have been successfully conducted by the women’s group in different parts of the country

11.  Conference/seminar attended
1.  HUMAN's members attended numerous national conferences / seminars / workshops / campaign activities / hunger strikes etc.
2.  HUMAN's President, Dr. Gopi Upreti participated in the IHEU 13th congress which was held in Mexico in 1997 where Dr. Upreti addressed the plenary session and presented a seminal paper on the challenges of humanism
3.  HUMAN's President, General Secretary and other two executive members  attended IHEU Mumbai Congress and general assembly in 1998 and all four participants of HUMAN had presented their papers on different aspects of humanism
4.  HUMAN's President Dr. Gopi Upreti and General Secretary Mr. Ganga Prasad Subedi attended IHEU 50th Anniversary and 15th Congress in Netherlands in last June in 2002
